TRIBUTE BY CHILDREN TO THE LATE MADAM AUGUSTINA YAA SARKODIE
"Everything there is a season and time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born and time to die." (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2). It is heartbreaking that we will never see you again. Marking your death has created a huge vacuum in our hearts, which will never be filled.
Sunday, 21st July 2024 will forever remain unforgettable. Even though your death is a big blow to us, we chose to write this tribute with warm thoughts of you and tears of happiness for the opportunity to be able to call you our mother and be part of your life.
You played the role of a mother and father at the same time, you worked tireless and ensuring we never lack anything.
You were a mother to all who knew you. Yes, you touched lives in church, and at home.
You never missed your church services and take your church activities very seriously. You were with us a short while ago. Little did we know that you were getting ready for a higher service above?
We thank the Almighty God for your life on earth. It is our prayer that God will grant you eternal rest in heaven. We will always remember our mother for her beauty and kind nature. You were indeed a good mother.
On this farewell, we promise to exhibit all the Christian and values you instilled in us and to be the best children that you always admired.
Rest in peace to our wonderful and self-independent mother. May you rest in God’s grace. Hopefully, one day, we will see you again. Maa, we will do our best to honor your memory and be good children. We will never forget the lessons you taught us.
Obotanpanim Nante Yie.
Maa rest in perfect peace.
Tribute by church to the late Madam Augustina Yaa Sarkodie
Madam Augustina Yaa Sarkodie was born in Adansi Akwansrem in August 1969. She joined the church in the year 1992, October 16.
Augustina Yaa Sarkodie played a major role in the church. She was an active member in the women's fellowship. She was elected as presbyter in the year 2020 in the church. She had time for the church activities. She was a member of B.S.P.G. and was taking an active role as presbyter. She used to attend most conferences and meetings.
She was hardworking, humble, and obedient to the word of God. Her departure has created a huge hole in each and everyone’s heart. Separation is very painful, but the separation of death is most painful.
Augustina Yaa Sarkodie got sick; the church, children, and family did their best hoping she would get well. We used to say death has power over life. On 21st July 2024, it was Sunday. Our dear mother visited the ancestors. Her departure had become a big blow to the church. You will be forever remembered.
As Christians, we believe in life after death. We are humbled asking the Creator of Creation (God) to give her the chance to meet life after death so that we could all enjoy the eternal life in the hand of Creator.
May her soul rest in peace. Amen!
